Natural Work
Overview:
Improvement Process is the individual and his/her
Groups
[NWG]
natural work group.
The primary difference between the activities of the
natural work group and a formally chartered Quality
Action Team is the cross-functional, multi-level
complexity of the issue.
There is no difference at all in the tools used, the
emphasis on management by facts and data,
participation by everyone, management by priority
and use of the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle for
continuous improvement.
Membership:
Everyone, at all levels.
Functions:
Apply the TQM structured problem solving approach
and quality control tools to all job processes, with
special emphasis on management by facts and data,
management by priority and use of the Plan, Do,
Check, Act (PDCA) cycle for continuous
improvement.
Participate fully in TQM team projects.
Take the initiative ... aggressively search out
opportunities for improvement in all processes.
