STANDARDS FOR WEARING CAMOUFLAGE UTILITY UNIFORM

General. The standard camouflage utility uniform consists of standard issue woodland
camouflage pattern cap, woodland camouflage pattern coat/shirt, trousers, black 1-1/4 inch
web belt with subdued open face buckle, black footwear, and appropriate rank/rate insignia.
No items of the 100 percent cotton and nylon/cotton uniforms will be mixed.
a.
The camouflage utility uniform is designed to function with the Personnel Armor System
for Ground Troops (PASGT). Appropriate authority may prescribe (PASGT) items for
wear with the camouflage utility uniform.
b.
The camouflage utility uniform shall be clean and pressed to present a neat appearance.
Starching, sizing, or otherwise artificially stiffening the camouflage utility uniform is
prohibited.
c.
Items of the camouflage utility uniform will be marked as prescribed in paragraph 23.
d.
Authorization. Chief of Naval Operations has authorized the following groups to wear
the camouflage utility uniform as their normal work uniform:
(1) Naval Construction Force
(2) Naval Beach Group
(3) Naval Special Warfare Groups
(4) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Personnel
(5) Navy Cargo Handling and Port Group
(6) Personnel of the Construction Ratings, Seabees at Shore Activities
(7) Antarctic Support Force
(8) Air Traffic Control Unit 100A, Helicopter Support Squadron 9
(9) Naval Security Group Activity, Adak
(10) Fleet Aviation Specialized Operational Training Group, Pacific
