Navy stock numbers (NSN) provided to assist in correct item identification; ensure correct
sizes by NSN are ordered.
26. Care and Cleaning. After initial issue of the prescribed quantity of camouflage utility
uniform(s) and footwear, the individual assumes the responsibility for its care and cleaning.
Clothing may be tailored slightly to ensure proper fit, but form- fitting tailoring will not be
permitted.
27. Jewelry. Jewelry is authorized for all male and female personnel and shall be in good taste
while in uniform. Eccentricities or faddishness are not permitted. Jewelry shall not present a
safety or FOD (Foreign Object Damage) hazard. Jewelry shall be worn within the following
guidelines:
a.
Rings. While in uniform, only one ring per hand is authorized, plus a wedding ring for
males, or an engagement ring or wedding ring set for females.
b.
Earrings. For males, not authorized. For females, one earring per ear (centered on
earlobe) may be worn with any uniform. Earrings shall be 6mm ball (approximately 1/4
inch), plain with brushed matte finish, screw-on or with posts. Gold for officers/CPOs,
and silver for enlisted personnel. Additionally, no article shall be attached to or through
the nose for both male or female.
c.
Necklaces/Chokers. While in uniform, only one necklace may be worn and it shall not
be visible.
d.
Wristwatch/Bracelet. While in uniform, only one of each may be worn. Ankle bracelets
are not authorized.
