a.
Coast Guard Work-Life staffs were created as a result of the 1992 Work-Life Study.
Based on the recommendations of that study, these staffs establish the policy for, and
subsequent delivery of products and services needed by our members and their families
to balance the demands of work and family life. One of the primary goals of the Work-
Life program is to deliver a consistent range of products and services from area to area
so that our members and their families will be more comfortable and knowledgeable
with the services available to them. In addition, for these staffs to be properly managed
and evaluated, they must be operated in a uniform manner.
