The following additional policies apply:
a.
Standard Workstations:
(1)
Surplus Standard Workstations may not be used in any capacity that would
preclude immediate shipment to another unit if rewuired.
(2)
Surplus Standard Workstations may not be used to store or process classified
information.
b.
Nonstandard Workstations:
(1)
Funds will not be allocated to maintain or upgrade surplus nonstrandard
workstation or microcomputer systems.
(2)
If surplus nonstandard microcomputer equipment fails, notify Commandant (G-
TA) within 14 days and request disposition instructions.
(3)
Unauthorized nonstandard microcomputers or microcomputer systems may not be
used to store or process official records, mission critical data, or classified
information.
8.
Provide an information copy of locally generated procurements completed in accordance with
paragraph 4.e of this instruction to TISCOM(CPD), Alexandria, Virginia. This information
may either be sent concurrently with the procurements or be submitted quarterly.
