OBJECTIVE 8-3: Be a partner with DOT's R&D efforts to develop integrated smart
transportation and navigation information systems.
MILESTONE 8-3-A: Ensure Coast Guard R&D plans and efforts translate and link to those in the
broader Departmental transportation research goals and team efforts.

1. Coordinate use of technology with other DOT agencies.

Integrate CG R&D projects with intermodal R&D efforts, as appropriate.

counterparts to coordinate plans, exchange information, and cooperatively advance common
interests.
