equipment required to support the NTNO equipment (typically, MICA updates
resulting from an equipment configuration change will be funded by the Navy via
the Engineering Logistics Center). The funding request will be submitted as
separate totals for each Navy account, indicating the work to be done and amount
requested. Again, separate listing of the Navy accounts is necessary to enable the
Coast Guard to debit the proper Navy SYSCOM for reimbursement.
c.
Commandant (G-SCE) will adjust AFC77 allocations of Navy reimbursable funds, as
required, to ensure a balance between the requested support requirements and the funds
provided by the Navy. Report all shortages of funds for support of NTNO electronics, with
documentation, to Commandant (G-SCE) via your normal chain of command.
d.
Navy provided support funds to the AFC77 account are for the support of floating
platforms only at the present time. Some shore facilities (C2CEN, TISCOM and
TRACENs Yorktown and Petaluma) are eligible to receive AFC77 funding in their
support role to floating platforms. The Navy support listed in this Instruction does not
fund the installation of new or de-installation of existing Navy electronics, upgrades (F/C)
or Research and Development (R&D).
