PROCEDURES.
a.
District commanders and commanding officers of Headquarters units shall forward to
Commandant (G-CP-3) nominations of names for facilities at least 90 days prior to the
anticipated date of the dedication ceremony.
b.
The standing board will prepare nominations for names of all new classes of cutters,
review all nominations of names for facilities and provide its recommendations to the
Commandant for final approval.
c.
Commandant (G-CP-3) will provide assistance in researching a name if desired.
Sufficient lead time (6- 12 months) is required, since in many instances considerable
historical research is needed.
7.
ACTION. Area and district commanders, commanders of maintenance and logistics
commands, unit commanding officers and Commander, CG Activities Europe shall ensure that
nominations are submitted as described above.
