8. ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECT AND IMPACT CONSIDERATIONS. This Instruction is
intended to improve the management of the Coast Guard. The Commandant (G-H) has
determined that Coast Guard Categorical Exclusion (33), Figure 2-1, of the National
Environmental Policy Act Implementing Procedures and Policy for Considering
Environmental Impacts, COMDTINST M16475.1(series), categorically excludes the
preparation and promulgation of this Instruction.
9. FORMS AND REPORTS. The Commandant (G-H) is responsible for the collection of
information and meeting reporting requirements under references (a) through (h). Area and
district commanders, commanders of maintenance and logistics commands, commanding
officers of integrated support commands and headquarters units, assistant commandants for
directorates, Chief Counsel and special staff elements at Headquarters shall cooperate and
respond to requests from the Commandant (G-H) for information and data to meet the
reporting requirements of references (a) through (h), as may be established.
