1. Excludes aids on the Western Rivers and waters of the 8th Coast Guard
District, which can vary widely in number because of fluctuations in river
levels. This value fluctuates from between 8,000 to 15,000 aids in any
given year. These aids are also unique in that, due to the nature of the
operating environment, they have a very high loss rate and require higher
than average replacement.
Truman-Hobbs Act: Order to Alter
The following major bridge projects are currently under an "Order to
Alter" or have been congressionally declared obstructions to navigation
under the Truman-Hobbs Act:
