DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Purpose. To retain a capable and motivated workforce committed to Coast Guard missions and
values.
Opportunities for Improvement. We will complete the Workforce Cultural Audit Action Plan.
We must focus on communicating effectively and promptly with the workforce at both the local
command and service-wide levels, increasing employee involvement in the direction of the
organization and trust in their leaders. We shall expand career development opportunities for all
members of Team Coast Guard.
