(cont'd) coordinate with Commandant (G-PTP) to assure Training Allowance Billets
are available and make the final decision on requests for waivers as outlined in
paragraph 4 of this instruction.
b.
TQC Chesapeake, VA shall obtain class quotas once written orders have been
issued. TQC Chesapeake shall include the receiving command as info addee on all
messages regarding pre-arrival training. Pipeline training shall normally take
priority over the individual's present duties.
c.
Individuals under orders to a Loran-C station shall coordinate with TQC Chesapeake
to overcome any difficulties in the proposed training schedule.
6.
WAIVERS.
a.
A waiver may be requested by an individual who has received previous training or
experience within the last six (6) years.
b.
A waiver may be requested by TQC Chesapeake when no quotas are available for a
course prior to the individual's scheduled reporting date. In some cases, attendance at a
later class will be arranged.
c.
Events normally connected with a PCS move such as shipment of household goods, etc.,
will not be considered sufficient reason for automatic waiver of training.
d.
Waiver requests shall be made via letter or message to Military Personnel Command
(epm). Waiver requests shall include a description of the course and the reason for the
waiver request.
