Subj: PIPELINE TRAINING FOR ELECTRONIC TECHNICIANS (ET)
REPORTING TO LORAN STATIONS
1.
PURPOSE. To outline required training (pipeline) for Electronic Technicians prior to
reporting aboard Loran-C Stations. This instruction is intended to be used by all persons
involved in the assignment process and corresponding pre-arrival training process for Loran-
C station ETs.
2.
ACTION. Military Personnel Command (epm), Commandant (G-PTP), and TQC
Chesapeake, VA shall comply with provisions of this instruction. This instruction is provided
to other units for information only.
3.
DIRECTIVES AFFECTED. COMDTINST 1543.1 is hereby canceled.
4.
PERSONNEL AFFECTED. Personnel under Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders to
Loran-C stations.
5.
RESPONSIBILITIES. This training shall be coordinated with Military Personnel Command
(epm), TQC Chesapeake, VA, and the individual being assigned as follows:
a.
Once a member is selected for assignment to a Loran-C station, Military Personnel
Command (epm) shall use this instruction along with the member's qualification codes
to determine the required training. Military Personnel Command (epm) shall
