Coast Guard Industrial Mission. The Coast Guard Industrial Mission is as follows:
Industrial Support Activities provide quality intermediate and depot level engineering services that are
versatile, timely, environmentally safe, and responsive to units, Coast Guard wide. We accomplish our
mission by maintaining an in-house core Industrial capability of engineering expertise, skilled tradespeople,
equipment and facilities that are responsive to:
* Coast Guard military and domestic contingency mission needs as guided by Logistic Support and
* Coast Guard peace time mission needs as defined by and coordinated with Maintenance and Logistics
Commanders and District Commanders.

Industrial Program Management. A program management staff [Commandant (G-ES-3)] has been established
at Headquarters. Program oversight staffs will be established during summer 1992 within the Shore Divisions
of each MLC. The Headquarters industrial management staff is the focal point for all Coast Guard Industrial
Support Activity matters. A future update of the Coast Guard Organization Manual, COMDTINST
M5400.7C (Series), will reflect these changes.
3.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
a.
The Office of Engineering, Logistics and Development's Industrial Management Staff (G-ES-3), is
responsible for Industrial Program Management and will include the mission statement into a future revision
to reference (a).
b.
Commanding Officers of Support Centers, Groups, and Bases with Industrial Support Activities are
responsible for carrying out the Industrial Mission.
