Subj: RECOMMENDED PROCEDURES FOR CONDUCTING COMPREHENSIVE REVIEWS
OF FACILITY RESPONSE PLANS
are reevaluated in four to five years, we will expect the plans to be more comprehensive and
refined. This is consistent with our expectations that;
a. We will have provided more guidance in terms of a Final Rule, workshops, training
guidelines and/or NVICs.
b. Plans will be revised and improved upon frequently with the benefit of lessons learned in
exercises and actual spills.
c. Plans must be regarded as living documents to be referred to frequently and modified when
necessary.
8. Comments, suggestions and questions regarding this program should be directed to LCDR D.
